The dress code is relaxed, with guests dressing up a little more in the evening.
What is the setting and what is there to do nearby?
The hotel sits on Xpu-Ha beach, a secluded, rarely crowded stretch of white sand and calm turquoise water on the Riviera Maya. Sea turtles nest here in season, and a reef sanctuary lies just offshore. The estate has its own cenote for paddleboarding. Tulum and Xel-Ha are about 30 minutes away by car, and Playa del Carmen is a 15–20 minute drive.
What should I know about the spa and wellness facilities?
Esencia Spa sits under palapa roofs at the east end of the gardens and is open 11 am to 6 pm. It has steam rooms, an infrared sauna, a cold plunge pool, a Temazcal sweat lodge and Mayan-inspired rituals using herbs from its own garden. The gym is open 6 am to 11 pm, with Sunrise Yoga from 8 am to 9 am.
What are the check-in times, and how do I get there from the airport?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is around midday. Early or late arrival depends on availability. Cancún International Airport is about 50 minutes to an hour away by car. The hotel can arrange a private car transfer for a charge, with 48 hours' notice. A 25-minute helicopter transfer can land at the hotel.
